Dear Parents
The Prep department at Barrow Hills School encompasses Years 3 to 6. Our Year 3 and 4 children enjoy the warm, welcoming environment of the St Thomas More Centre, while Years 5 and 6 children are based in the Great Roke.
In Years 3 and 4, children are primarily guided by their form teachers, complemented by specialist teaching in key areas. Our broad and stimulating curriculum offers music, drama, art, design technology, and games alongside academic subjects.
As children progress to Year 5 and beyond, they transition to more learning from subject specialists in dedicated classrooms. Our approach fosters independence and sharpens organisational skills, equipping our children with the tools they need to succeed in all areas of life.
