What an exciting week we’ve had celebrating Bonfire Night. The children have looked at clips of firework displays and have been captivated by the colours, sounds, and movements of fireworks. They have created their own chalk firework displays, filled with vibrant colours and swirling shapes, and used their voices to explore the different sounds fireworks make. Our book of the week has been ‘Zim, Zam, Zoom’ by James Carter and the children have loved connecting with the words and sounds as they zoomed, whizzed, and popped alongside the book. To add to the festive spirit, the children decorated chocolate fingers to resemble sparklers, which was a big hit! Well done Reception.
