In light of current events, Year 8 are spending some of their time preparing for the transition into their next school and the start of their GCSE exam content.
Last week saw Year 8 making sense of elements found within groups of the periodic table. Work became more challenging this week, as children have moved from visible chemistry, to that which we cannot see without highly specialist equipment. From Dalton to Rutherford, children used their investigative skills to uncover the chronology of research which has contributed to our current understanding of atomic structure today. Charlotte’s (8G) work is a great example.
