Year 1 had a fantastic time visiting Mr Behan in the science lab.
They loved looking round the room and having the opportunity to ask Mr Behan some questions about the skeleton!
The children in Year 1 worked with a partner to investigate if materials are waterproof or not.
They all had to make shelters for animals using various different materials. The materials included paper, foil, plastic, fabric, leaves and tissues. The children had to test their suitability by dropping water from pipettes over the ‘roof’. They were asked to make predictions and use all the different materials available.
Year 1 were amazing. They were all completely on task and worked extremely well with their partners. There were fantastic topic related discussions and some great predictions.
