Over the past two years I have had the privilege of working alongside the Gurkhas. These soldiers and their families are truly amazing. They are some of the most selfless people I have ever worked with and learning about their homes back in Nepal has been inspiring. Over the past 200 years, thousands of Gurkhas have left their homes, families and everything they know to come to the UK and serve in the British Army. Considering where they have grown up and how little some of them and their families have, they are generous and will always put other people first. They form a vital part of what we do and for that reason, I want to give something back to them. So I have decided to cycle 1,800km around Europe, passing through seven countries across 17 days. The challenge has one goal in mind and that’s to raise money for these amazing people through the Gurkha Welfare Trust.
I would be hugely grateful for any support you feel able to give. Thank you.
