In early April, Year 3 children were given a ‘Sunflower Challenge’ as part of their homework where they were asked to plant some sunflower seeds, monitor and record their growth and report back on their progress. This week children were excited to bring their projects in and present their pictures and data to the rest of Year 3. There have been some amazing results and some very fast growing sunflowers indeed. The children have discussed the impact of the better weather and how the heat has helped their sunflowers bloom with fantastic graphs and labels.
Well done to all those children who put a lot of effort into their projects. Here’s hoping for a lot of blooming success over next few weeks and lots of sunflowers to enjoy!
