On Friday 11th October, Year 6 children enjoyed a trip to LEGOLAND Windsor as part of their STEM curriculum.
Beginning with an interactive robotics workshop, the teams went head to head, constructing, programming, and fine-tuning their own models using SPIKE Essential programming software, experimenting with different inputs and algorithms.
While exploring the model village, children observed famous landmarks like Big Ben, the NASA Space Center, and the White House, considering what materials, beyond LEGO, would be required to build these structures in reality.
Finally, children explored the science behind forces, as they experienced shifts in G-force while zooming through various roller coasters, inclusive of the highly recommended VR experience ‘flight of the sky lion’!
