Every year I look forward to the first day back following the autumn half term. The clocks have gone back, the weather has cooled and it definitely feels like autumn is here. We were welcomed back into the forest by a spectacular carpet of leaves, mostly golden yellow, I felt like shouting “Off to Oz!”.
With Bonfire Night and our fireworks party in mind, we set about gathering the yellow leaves and threading them carefully onto sticks or along string, to create our own ‘natural’ firework display.
