It has been a very exciting week in Year 1. We have welcomed lots of our children back to Barrow Hills and it’s been wonderful to see them. They have enjoyed beautiful weather, picnic lunches outside, lots of learning opportunities and time to be with their friends in the Pre-Prep garden.
I am so proud of all the children. They have shown such confidence and resilience dealing with a different classroom set up and routine. I would like to say a huge thank Mr Clark and Miss Gartland for their fabulous help with the Year 1 and key worker children. They have encouraged the children to take part in the Lockdown Challenge set by the Sports Department, which has been great fun and given the children a target to work towards.
We also have Year 1 children continuing their distance learning and it is absolutely wonderful seeing all the work and photos that they are sending me to Tapestry. I love hearing your news, watching the videos and marking the work. Thank you so much to the parents for their constant encouragement and for spending so much time helping their children learn.
