We were extremely fortunate this week to have some more animal visits, and not all furry ones! Tickle and Pickle the guinea pigs spent the day with Pre-Prep on Monday, spending time with all the classes. They also enjoyed some outside time in the Nursery garden. The children chatted about how each guinea pig’s fur felt different, what they ate and took turns to hold and stroke them, carefully making sure their fingers weren’t mistaken for carrots!
Mrs Triska’s dog Molly was an absolute star on Wednesday, even attending Forest School with Nursery. Some children who weren’t so sure about dogs had changed their mind once meeting Molly and loved stroking and playing with her.
On Friday, a visit from a female, buttercup loving tortoise called Torty really rounded off a super animal visit extravaganza. Torty is over 70 years old and has been owned by Rose’s granny since she was a child. She has a sharp beak so children had to watch their fingers!
Thank you to Martha and Bella’s mummy, Rose’s granny and Mrs Triska.
