Year 2’s return to school found them all slightly bemused on Monday – not quite sure of quite what was allowed or not. They couldn’t quite believe their luck at being able to play in the woodland, ‘before break’? Mrs Miles and Mrs Hawkins had a cunning plan… to get them all speaking and listening, interacting and participating, settling and relaxing.
By Tuesday, the children quickly understood the new normal as they played, laughed, chatted and hand washed as they went about their day. An awesome BBQ and ice cream was enjoyed on Wednesday followed by spectacular sporting feats on Thursday.
A final assembly in the Pre-Prep garden was the climax of the week with joyful celebrations of all the children have achieved this year, before bidding a very fond farewell to to those who are moving on to pastures new.
Year 2 we have missed you this term, just as we will miss having you in Pre-Prep next year. We wish you all the most amazing start to Year 3! Do yourselves proud following a happy and joyful summer holiday.
