Our London Trip by Reuben (2G)
First we went on a school minibus. I chatted to my friends. We went to a station and we waited 14 minutes then we went on a train. On the train Hannah handed out pieces of paper to Mrs Platt’s group and she gave our group pens. Then we were in London. We weren’t far away, we walked to the London Eye and we queued up and soon we were in the pods. It was exciting to nearly start, it was so slow! I could see Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the Shard, the River Thames, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Green Park. It took 30 minutes and then sadly we were off.
We went to a park. We played on an obstacle course, we had so much fun there. Then we had lunch. I had an apple, a chocolate penguin, crisps and a ham and cheese sandwich. We went on a river cruise and we saw The Tower, Tower Bridge, Waterloo Bridge, the Ladies’ Bridge. We waved to the people who we went under.
We then walked to Waterloo station. I felt sad it was over. Then we went on a train. Hannah gave us a pen and paper and Henry had wooden colouring pencils.
Footnote from Mrs Harris and Mrs Platt
Year 2 were an absolute pleasure to take on the trip and were so knowledgeable, we were very impressed. Thank you to Mrs Pickard and Mr Hatcher for accompanying us. Thank you to Mrs Livingston for organising such a super trip, we hope you are better soon! Well done to Year 2 for their fantastic models of London landmarks.
