We are proud to announce that we are embarking on an exciting journey to harness Artificial Intelligence, working with university partners, researchers and pioneering experts in this field to reimagine the role of technology in our approach to education and to empower Bridewell pupils with advanced skills to thrive and do good in our rapidly changing world.
Our advanced AI aims to provide an additional support framework in our teacher-led environments, to inspire fresh thinking and human creativity though which all pupils can innovate, adapt and apply critical thinking to support collaboration, learning pathways and academic excellence.
We’ve kicked off our journey with staff visits to our collaborators at Royal Holloway, and welcoming researchers from the University of Surrey`s Centre for Doctoral Training in AI for Digital Media Inclusion (CDT) to a working session with our year 7 pupils. We are working hand in hand with all our partners to ensure an inspiring experience and meaningful outcomes for all Bridewell pupils.

We are delighted to share that the wonderfully talented Mr Theodore Frazer, (baritone) will accompanied by Mr James Perkins on the organ performing a short concert at King Edward’s as part of the ‘Year of the Organ’ run by the Royal College of Organists.
The concert is at the KESW Chapel starting at 5pm and lasting around 35 mins.
No booking is required, entry is free and all are welcome, so please do pop in and join us for a real musical treat.

Earlier this term, Year 7 enjoyed an inspiring visit to Battle Abbey to explore the events of 1066. ⚔️
They took part in a hands-on role play, trying on costumes and handling replica Saxon and Norman weapons, bringing history to life.
A battle reenactment followed, where pupils learned about key moments and turning points, including the fall of King Harold II. They also explored the museum’s interactive displays and ended the day with a walk around the battlefield and stunning views from the abbey roof.
A memorable trip that sparked curiosity and deepened historical understanding.

Just before the Easter break our brilliant Year 5 and 6 pupils staged a production of Matilda the Musical which was nothing short of an absolutely stonking roof raising rip roarer!!
Our committed and talented cast delivered incredible performances, packed with terrific singing, tremendous acting and humour that had our audiences chuckling throughout. Our technical theatre team knocked it out the park with their fantastic lighting and staging concepts.
Another triumph for our dramatic powerhouse, Mrs Mason who puts her heart and soul into enabling each and every pupil to shine brightly.
We can’t wait for the next one... Mrs Mason should definitely enjoy a very well-deserved rest first though!

A drizzly start to the morning did not dampen the enthusiasm of Years 3 – 8 and their intrepid parents who joined us for our annual Bunny Run.
All the runners completed the hilly two-mile course, in under 32 minutes (a new record! ) followed very swiftly by an epic egg hunt in forest school.
Pre-prep whizzed around their course next while sun came out and the older children lined the route cheering the tiny runners along. Lots of happy chocolatey children! Just what the (slightly exhausted#) Easter bunnies here hoping for!
An eggs-cellent job, one and all!
